Brian Hibbard
Brian Hibbard, CPA
President and Chief Executive Officer

Brian Hibbard currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Fitness Ventures LLC, which owns and operates Crunch Fitness locations across the U.S. Prior to founding Fitness Ventures, Mr. Hibbard had served as President and Founder of South Beach Tanning Company (SBTC), overseeing the development of the original prototype location to the operation of a multi-million dollar company with approximately 50 locations in 9 different states.

Mr. Hibbard has a background as a Certified Public Accountant working for the largest firm in Central Florida. He has served as a tax consultant to large expanding companies, specializing in utilization of Section 179 and bonus depreciation deductions.

A son of a family fitness enthusiast, and a fitness enthusiast himself, Mr. Hibbard has found a unique opportunity to develop the CRUNCH Fitness brand through his passion for the industry. Hibbard serves on the CRUNCH Franchise Marketing Committee advising on the use, allocation, and deployment of the National Marketing and Advertising Fund. He also serves on the Crunch Franchise Advisory committee.

John Armatas
Chief Culture Officer

Mr. Armatas has spent the majority of his life around fitness and fitness operations. His career started his career as a Program Director in the YMCA and within a few years was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Tampa & Pasco County Metropolitan Area YMCA. He oversaw the development of program and membership initiatives for a $28 million dollar operation that included 11 YMCA’s facilities and over 50K members. He also oversaw the Marketing, Communications and Human Resource Departments and oversaw the staff development for 14 direct reports.

Mr. Armatas left the YMCA to open FASTSIGNS Locations in 1999 and successfully owned and operated the 4th largest franchise unit in the FASTSIGNS system before selling in 2007. In 2008—Mr. Armatas opened a Franchise Sales company and successfully helped multiple franchise brands develop a sales process and assisted them in franchise unit growth. In 2012—he saw an opportunity to help franchise systems with organic lead development and has built a successful digital marketing company that focuses primarily on franchise systems from 4 - 80 units.

Mr. Armatas joined Brian Hibbard in 2016, as a minority shareholder to open a CRUNCH Fitness Franchise in Athens, GA. The partnership continues to open locations throughout the US.

Jeremy Franke
Jeremy Franke
Chief Operating Officer

Jeremy Franke currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Fitness Ventures LLC, which currently owns and operates Crunch Fitness locations across the U.S. Jeremy has been in the fitness industry since 1997 in roles ranging from Personal Trainer to Regional Vice President overseeing 93 locations in various U.S. markets including the Northeast, Southeast, Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii.

He has an extensive track record of leading high-performance teams that focus on culture, team member development and providing a world-class member experience. He is passionate about helping members achieve their fitness goals

Kaylyn Minyard
Executive Assistant to the CEO

Kaylyn Minyard serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO. After graduating from Northern Arizona University, Kaylyn initially went to work in the field of Developmental Psychology. She began working for Brian Hibbard in 2013, opening one of the largest and highest volume South Beach Tanning Company locations.

Soon after the successful launch of the this location she relocated to Orlando to join the SBTC corporate team. She has served in District Manager, Corporate Trainer, and Franchise Liaison capacities with oversight of both corporate and franchise locations. While initially maintaining her role in SBTC, in 2016 she also began working with Fitness Ventures beginning with the opening of the first Crunch location, overseeing the technical implementation and oversite of management as it pertains to the tanning department.

Her unique understanding of successful franchise frameworks, best franchisee practices, managerial experience, and her long-standing awareness of Brian's goals and visions from both a corporate and franchise standpoint have made her a trusted asset to both Brian and the Fitness Ventures team.

Nick Gentile
Director of Operations

Mr. Gentile began his career in the fitness industry after graduating from the University of Georgia. He had worked for a variety of fitness operations before joining our team as the General Manager in Athens, Georgia in 2016. His attention to detail and adoption of our culture and goals has helped him make quick ascent in our system and he recently was promoted to the position of Direction of Operations. His primary responsibility is to provide direct support for our locations and the General Managers who operate our centers.
Bryan Thomas
Executive Director of Fitness

Mr. Thomas brings a variety of past work experience to his position. He has worked in the fast food, retail, and automotive industries as well as telecommunications sales. After years in sales, leadership, and management he used his broad experience and followed his heart and his recreational passion for fitness and began his career in the fitness industry. He has spent the last 10 years developing personal trainers and helping members reach their personal fitness goals.

Calvin Armatas
Director of New Club Openings

Calvin Armatas is originally from Tampa, FL. He graduated from Stetson University with a B.A in Business Administration in 2016. Calvin did an internship with the Kansas City Royals Ballpark Operations Division and with the Stetson University Football Team as part of their Football Operations. He has also spent time with South Beach Tanning Company -- training on tanning operations.

Calvin was the first staff person hired by Fitness Ventures LLC and helped open the Athens, Georgia location. Calvin was soon promoted to General Sales Manager and just recently has been named Director of New Club Openings. Calvin is first on the ground and responsible for the hiring of all pre-sale training of sales staff (Street Teams) and devises the outreach program to drive awareness prior to the Pre-Sale Center opening.

Calvin also provides ongoing training and support of the membership services desk at our open locations.

Hiba Abduljawad
Director of Marketing

Hiba Abduljawad brings a well-rounded and strategic marketing background to Fitness Ventures. Hiba has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to develop a well-rounded skill set that includes local sustainability programs, branding/awareness, marketing intelligence, shopper and retail marketing, product launches, pricing and margin setting, product portfolio creation, media buying & planning, social media, and creative layout/design etc. Hiba’s skill set is balanced out by successful work experience in all ATL and BTL fields with specialization in 360 °grass root campaigns including newsprint, magazines, direct marketing, creative design, audience research and of course also product launches and market penetration.

Being fluent in German, English, Arabic and French, as well as having strategically operated and managed campaigns in over 35 countries simultaneously, Hiba developed a multi tasked skill set that will enable her to effectively grow our social and strategic marketing plan as we grow.

Jenny Carter
Regional Group Fitness Manager

Jenny was hired as the Group Fitness Coordinator for our Athens Club and was presented with the prestigious East Coast Coordinator Award in her first year with CRUNCH. She currently provides leadership and support to all coordinators in our system as a Regional Group Fitness Manager.

Patti Rawson Grennan
Patti Rawson Grennan

Patti joined the Fitness Ventures team as the Controller in 2016. Prior to that, Patti served in a Controller role for Brian Hibbard for 12 years, overseeing all aspects of Brian's companies accounting needs including annual audit engagements, tax returns, Federal, State and local audits, business process, payroll and financial reporting.

Prior to 2004, Patti worked for 17 years at the largest regional CPA firm, Tedder, James, Warden, working in both the audit and tax departments. Patti worked directly with mid to large companies with revenues up to $100 million dollars.

Alexander Reyes, MBA
Director of Human Resources

Alex’s more than 15 years of Human Resource experience has introduced him to various industries including finance, retail, hospitality, and of course, fitness. Alex’s theory is that regardless of industry, company, or position, people are people; and the common need for respect and opportunity transcend all else.

Alex’s approach to Human Resources focuses on the “Why” of it all. By teaching to drive commitment rather than compliance, Alex partners with all leaders and team members across the organization to ensure a culture of fairness and consistency. Having been given many opportunities in his career, Alex takes pride in developing and implementing programs that provide growth and advancement opportunities for his team.

Alex received his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management from Florida Atlantic University and his Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University.
